Out of school for 15 years, passed the exam
Update 2025. Passed the PE exam recently and now a licensed PE. This book was incredibly helpful to kickstart that journey. In particular, the authors explanation of a passing score and to my surprise, a relatively low percentage to pass. I think he mentioned 50% is normalized to 70%. With that in mind, took the pressure off immensely. Was the only book I used for FE prep and some of the material carried over to the PE test as well.Great book and helped me pass the exam. I didn’t fully agree with the study suggested but might work for most. I might have only studied from this book for 10-12 hours but that was plenty to get me ready (and that’s with me being out of school for a long long time!) I would say these questions were slightly more difficult than the actual exam but the real benefit was recognizing simple mistakes and how to navigate the exam format. If you can get about half the questions right on the exam, and then simply guess on the others you really have a great shot at passing.

Awesome review manual for engineers several years after graduation
The FE Electrical and Computer Engineering Review Manual is obviously a high priced book, but worth every penny. I graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering 4 years ago and have been working as an EE since. They say if you don't use it, ya lose it - and that was true for me. This book is quickly bringing me back up to speed with some of the forgotten methods of solving complex problems aren't always used "in the real world" but are taught and are probably worth refreshing. There are pre and post mini exams to test your understanding, plus multiple examples throughout each chapter. I highly recommend this book and the Casio FX 115ES if you plan on taking the FE and/or PE exam.

Adequate tool for helping in your studying efforts for the FE ELEC AND COMP CBT
There are many things I liked about this book listed below, however, there were some I did not like so I will list what I didn't like first. I didn't like how the book dumbs down some of the topics, like Control Systems. This took me by surprise in the Exam because there were a good number of Control Systems questions. Product code from the back does not work in the website. I tried my code multiple times with no success. I believe some of the copies are perhaps fake or giving reused numbers, however, the content of the book aided in my studying. Now the good stuff:I bought this text book about 3 months before my perceived FE Electrical and Computer Exam. I took the CBT exam. I appreciate what the author did in collecting all the resources in this book. This is a great REVIEW book. You will go through every section that will be in the exam at a good thorough level which is needed for the exam. There are a couple of sections that are still in the book that are not part of the 2014 NCEES FE Electrical and Computer CBT Index. For instance, statics, thermodynamics, mechanics are all topics that are briefly reviewed in the textbook, however, they are not part of the exam as the sections tested on are clearly stated in the NCEES Index. I skipped these particular sections entirely. While the book is a great resource, and most likely all you need if you studied from a decent engineering school, I know folks from many other schools that did the same level of practice I did, and still failed. When I asked them if they had known about certain topics, for example Computer Memory, architecture and cache, they were completely surprised. Hence, I think some schools are not teaching enough content, but to each their own. If you went through this book, through the reference manual which is provided to you in the exam which you can use to study with this book, know how to use your calculator for complex variables, matrices, vectors, equation solving, computer numbering, boolean logic, and followed up by practicing from free questions that you can find online through many websites to self-assess yourself, you should have no troubles in passing this exam. Here are some resources that can provide you additional help for studying and assessing yourself:Raiya Academy's videos, take this with a grain of salt because some of the solutions and processes are not very straight forward or accurate, but still a great resource since her examples are tougher than what is in the test and prepares you well:[...]I would try and do many of the math problems from these online tests, as well as anything related to the Elec and Comp Index:[...][...]Hope this helps!

in good shape same as ordering from ppi
Product came quickly and new. The review manual quickly covers the topics in the FE Electrical exam with helpful info about the test in front. Has example problems that are worked out. Does not have the practice problems that goes along with the chapters. The Practice Book provides an additional 3-10 problems per chapter that goes along with Review Manual chapters. There are multiple chapters per topic in the review manual, for instance the math topic is covered by Analaytical Geometry, Trig, Calculus, Differ. Eq, etc. Each chapter has example problems.

The Best Overall FE Review Book
Very detailed explanations to the subjects on the exam. This book is best used as a general understanding of the subjects, not an in-depth look at any specific ropic. As such, I would suggest having at least 2 other review sources to study from (preferrably one with many practice problems). Overall, a great help to helping me pass the FE!

Good if you like background reading
I can see if you are into doing a lot of background reading for studying that you may like this book. Different people have different strengths and weaknesses, and learn very differently. For me personally this guide gives too much unnecessary information. It's extremely wordy, you don't have to overexplain stuff when we don't need it! What we need is a succinct review of the equations that are in the NCEES handbook and how to approach them, which this guide does NOT do very well. You're better off going to studyforfe.com and taking the Wasim course, provided you are an audio/video style learner. This book was difficult to trudge through and ultimately I sprung for Wasim's course. So in summary, take a course for your FE such as studyforfe, this book is expensive and unnecessary.
