The best wireless charger for your Model 3, with the best support
This is my second TapTes Wireless charger for my Model 3. I sold my previous one, which worked without any issuers, to my coworker for her brand new Tesla. What I love about Taptes products is they are extremely well designed and they have great customer service. For this 2nd Generation charger, I really like that it now supports an additional landscape position. I tried all three spots (two vertical and one sideways) and you can see in the photos they all charge my Pixel 3 wirelessly without any issues. For this version, you can plug them directly into the front Tesla USB ports and even with the latest firmware updates, there are no issues with charging. I tried my wife's new iPhone XR and yes, it does fit (even with a sizeable case) and it charges wirelessly. I wanted to connect a USB drive for TeslaCam so I used one of the splitters and plugged it into the passenger side USB port. I rarely have someone in the car so I wanted to keep that side dedicated but also support a passenger's phone. By the way, the charger comes with two splitters! The install was super easy and the package includes instructions and everything you need. This time, the charging cables are detachable micro USB whereas the first generation were just built in. I really don't need it but I appreciate the flexibility. For example, if I get a USB hub with USB-C ports, I might buy a micro USB to USB C cable. I've emailed support twice and both times they responded quickly and were very helpful. I asked them details about mounting/installing it as well as specifications on the products.I don't think you can go wrong with this product. It's fairly priced, often as a coupon, works perfectly out of the box, ships quickly, and has great support. I would recommend the more expensive versions out there because they all pretty much do the same job.

Great Product for a Great Price
I chose the TapTes Tesla Model 3 Wireless Phone Charger due to the more reasonable pricing compared to other Model 3 wireless chargers out there, and also because of the ability to charge with your phone in landscape orientation. This is a feature that only one other competing model that I looked at had, and useful if you like to use Waze navigation while driving. Installation was a snap (instruction booklet included) and it looks like it came stock with the car, which is important to me. All the cables needed were included, even two USB splitters so that you will still have a slot for your dashcam drive and one other for music. A bonus feature I didn't even know about was that a small USB C cord pulls out from the ledge that holds up the phone(s). This ledge is also big enough to hold the phone(s) in place, even under full acceleration (I have a Dual Motor). Charging is pretty slow, but I have last year's iPhone Xs which doesn't allow for very fast contact charging. Newer iPhone and Android users will be able to take advantage of a faster rate. I'm not knowledgable enough about this so make sure to look into what speed your phone supports. LEDs light up when the phone is charging (one for each of the two sections), and that's about it. I've bought other products from TapTes and I'm really glad they are on Amazon now because of the Prime shipping.

Super easy to install and works great!
I've had this gen 2 wireless charger installed in my 2020 Model 3 for 2 whole days now. It was very easy to install and my phone charges when set on either of the vertical slots or while on the horizontal slot. I have a Samsung S9+ with a fairly thick Spigen case (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078BF68T2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and the phone barely fits in the vertical slot...like i have to push it in there a bit, but it does lay flat on the charger. I find that I place it in the horizontal slot more often since I can just kind of toss it on there and not worry about it. The build quality of this charger seems to be very good - it's thick and rubbery, not thin and plasticy. It came in nice packaging with all the cables advertised. I do not use the splitter cables as I connected it directly to the Jeda usb hub (also awesome - check it out!). I'm glad I purchased this product instead of a more expensive wireless charger that does the exact same thing. Save your $, buy this charger!

Two year report
I have been using this product for two years in my 2018 model 3. Beginning a year after purchase the USB plugs that go into the Tesla ports began to fail. I also have a dashboard cam storage device plugged into one of the extra USB plugs that come with the wireless charger. The USB plugs have to continually be removed and plugged back in because they lose connection. If something inside the console bumps the wires the USB plug has to be removed and plug back in. The dash cam scan desk device shows up with an X on my screen I have to unplug and replug the USB. Additionally, at the same time the usb plugs with the dash cam recorder plugged in also began to fail at charging my phone. My console is not full, it has a checkbook and receipts in it, so I don’t know if it’s just that they used a cheap USB plug or if it has overheated in the Southern California summers (even with cabin overheat protection on the Santa Ana‘s kick in and it gets hot). I’m going to have to see if I can replace the USB plugs; if I can’t do that I guess I will have to buy a new wireless charging pad which stinks. I think this should last more than one- two years.
