It Works - And It's Great!
I was initially going to buy a Hot Head, but I thought the cost of it was crazy! Why would I pay $40 for something I just heat in a microwave, that will only last 15 minutes tops, that I can essentially get for free by just putting a wet towel in the microwave and wrapping it around my head? It was just too outrageous to me, and I also didn't like the idea that you can't really control the heat and time length. The price is just right for this cap, and I was surprised at the quality of it from inside and out. Sure, I can't walk around freely with this thing, you have to stay put wherever you plug it, but I think that adds more to the deep-conditioning experience. It also really did feel like a spa treatment, but at home! I liked how it was just simple, with just a switch you can turn the heat from low (the green button) and high (the red button). Whichever the heat temp, the cap after 15 minutes turns itself off (you'll know when you hear a little click sound from the cap) and it starts to cool so to avoid overheating. I mean, how neat is that?! The high temp is not too hot, it's just right. If you're like me and want to enjoy the deep conditioning for longer, you just turn it off, give it a few minutes, turn it back on, and the cap is back to being hot again, and I like that I don't have to keep running downstairs to the microwave to re-heat it over and over, I get to just relax and enjoy it without moving. My hair felt amazing during and after using this, my 4C hair was super soft, well-conditioned, and more manageable. My only complaint is that this cap is humongous. It fits on the head just fine, it even feels kinda cozy, but it doesn't really store very well, it takes up a lot of space and it's just hard to figure out where to put it.Other than that, though, this thing works, and it's great!

Pretty good overall, slighty diminished performance
This heated bonnet was fantastic at first, much better than sitting under a bonnet attached to a hairdryer. Heated up quickly, great to use for deep conditioning. However, by the third time using I definitely noticed it does not get quite as hot nor was the heat as evenly distributed as when initially purchased. Great tool, simple to use, completely quiet of course, and it still does work...just not quite as well over time. Knowing this I would probably still purchase just for the ability to watch TV while doing a hot treatment that does not dry out my hair.

Best steamer cap
I had a steamer cap that was microwaveable and after so many uses, it died in the microwave. It only would hold the heat for about 15 minutes at a time and had to be reheated if longer time was needed. This steamer cap is great! It can be set for the heat level and there is a long enough cord so that you can sit comfortably to allow the steam to penetrate as needed. The heat level is excellent. I love it!

Extends my semi-permanent dye
Super easy to use and the results are amazing! I use Arctic Fox semipermanent hair color in a very brilliant violet. When it starts to wash out it looks like garbage, so it’s important to me that the color last as long as possible. Before this heat cap I’d have to color my hair weekly. Now a full month later it still looks decent!

Easy to use and it does the steam well
I use the product to do a deep conditioner and it worked very well. I put on a plastic cap before using the steam cap because I didn’t want to worry about the clean up. Ensure you towel dry hair as recommended before applying conditioner To prevent excessive moisture drip while using cap. I failed to do that and I had a lot of moisture dripping around the steam cap on my towel. Lesson learned. Overall a good quick method to do a deep conditioner.

Gets pretty hot, and stays hot!
I love this cap so far. I bought another one but had to return it because it suddenly stopped heating up. Hopefully that doesn't happen with this one, but I've had it for a month so far and it's been working just fine. It gets pretty hot when you have it on high. It stays hot for the entire time that I'm deep conditioning (about 30-45 min). It's perfect so far, love it!

It melted the cap and burned my neck
I'm floored. I wore it while watching TV for about 30 minutes and I felt a sharp pain on my neck. I removed the cap and looked inside and it had melted pieces of the cap inside and the top was melted. had I not leaved back it would have burned all the way through to my hair or worse. Update: no one ever contacted me after I let them know what happened.
