Some adjustments are needed
Some minor adjustments are needed to get the most out of this very basic ESC:As shipped, this ESC does not have brakes. Moving the throttle between forward and reverse instantly reverses the direction of the motor. To enable forward/brake/reverse mode, remove the soft start jumper completely. I also had to reverse the throttle channel on my radio (Spektrum), so that the braking action occurred on reverse instead of forward, and it was necessary to wire the motor backwards from what the color coding would suggest. The braking action is very weak. There does not appear to be a calibration or "one touch setup" function. To allow the ESC to reach 100% power at full throttle, you must increase the throttle channel endpoints on your radio. Full speed from the ESC required 120% forward travel and 110% reverse. To prevent the car from randomly moving on its own, the throttle trim will need to be adjusted as well. Mine required more than just a few clicks. This would be a worthy option to replace a mechanical speed control and eliminate the receiver pack in a vintage 1/10 vehicle.

Replacement for my RC10T3
I needed a replacement for my Tektronics in my Associated RC10T3. It’s smaller and lighter. Added a new receiver and servo to complete the update. Now I’m back up and going.

Great replacement
I overheated my old esc and bought this one to replace it. It has performed perfectly even with all the bashing and mud driving I do. Very durable and hasn't overheated. I recommend 👌

Junk - pay a few dollars more to get something far better
Not very good. It is just a few dollars cheaper than the common competitor and lacks robustness and quality. It is not intuitive to program if it is programmable at all (uses jumpers to program, but has fewer options than competitor) and does not have throttle neutral and endpoint calibration. You have to set the neutral point with trim and increase throttle EPA above 100% on your transmitter to get the full power out of the ESC and get it to not creep at neutral (which is bizarre). I couldn't figure out how to make it brake, and others have said that the brakes on this are not good if you can figure out how to activate them. Instructions tell you nothing. Not supported online. Generally very disappointing. I only purchased it because I could get it quickly, but now I wish I hadn't wasted my money. When I removed it from the electronics box in my car, the snaps for the case broke. Yeah... not good.

Upgraded a 30yr old truck
Like the plug and play, now I have reverse on my 30yr old RC10T2, and can run a 2S battery in it as qell

Catastrophic failure
The ESC worked well and I was pleased until it started overheating the power cable leading to the battery when turned on. The result was an electrical fire caused by high resistance once the ESC failed completely.

Less then 5 minutes and it started smoking
Put it in the truck ran it for maybe 5 minutes and it got stupid hot and turned off both the motor and battery was cool but the esc was very hot and flashing im going to look for something different
