UPGRADES!
With most gyms still closed during the quarantine I've had to make due with just a handful of dumbbells at home. Weight plates have taken a serious gouging in prices due to the understandable spike in demand but I haven't bothered beefing up the modest home gym. These occlusion bands are meant to be used with light weights and high repetitions to stimulate hypertrophy. My originals have treated me well for a couple of years now but when I saw there was an updated version for the same price as before, I had to check them out. Tomorrow's going to be my first workout with them but I just had to bust out this review in good faith just by the design updates alone. The robust material and lack of buckles were improvements I didn't know I wanted and I'm all the more pleased to know investing $20 on these simple but effective training aids was money well-spent instead of on one or two overpriced Olympic plates!7/7 Update - The verdict is in: do yourself a favor and ditch any elastic-type occlusion bands. The hardier and simplified "Razor" edition Ronin Wraps seriously took a notch up (no pun intended) in my lifting intensity.

Sufficient for most people.
Does the simple task of arm occlusion. Easy to put on and take off. Less cost than some other bands which do the same thing.

Awesome occlusion training bands
These bands are unique in that they are not made of elastic material like most bands are. They're made from thick material that, I find at least, are more effective at producing the occlusion effect. One thing I noticed with elastic-type bands is that they had a tendency to loosen a bit after a lot of reps...the pumping action during bicep curls would cause this. They would still work well enough...this material works better.I also quite like the numbering on the band itself, giving you a good way to gauge the tightness of the band so you can replicate it on your next set or next workout.Overall, very nice piece of equipment...different from standard bands, but the difference is effective.

Used once hurt my arms
Used once. Hurts and pinches skin as you get more and more of a pump. Haven’t used since

Great starter set
Great value for blood flow resistance training. As I started lifting heavier, my elbows were getting joint soreness. I hear a podcast talking about BFR lifting, allowing you to get the same results as lifting heavier weights without putting as much strain on your joints. I went from 50 pound dumbbells to 20 pounds with these straps. Moved from 5-8 rep sets to three high rep sets (30-15-15) and got a better pump. Muscle soreness and results but no more joint pain.Only drawback is that they don’t have a neoprene liner, so the straps will dig into my skin and leave some bruising when I really wear them tightly. My next pair will be the more expensive ones with neoprene liner but these are a great option for starting with BFR

Best BFR Bands!
These bands are solid! The construction of them are perfect for getting the best blood flow restriction workout. They are very easy to put on and off. The numbering makes it perfect to see where you were last and to keep it even on each side! I wish they'd use the same material to make a version for legs. They aren't long enough to use for legs unless your legs are on the smaller side. I highly recommend this product! The PDF you get thru email is also great! Plenty of information for you to start incorporating BFR.

Great product, assess your risks.
This product was 100% a "try out and see" thing for me. Problem is, I'm of scientific mind, and what I gained from this may not be the same for someone else, and here in lies the issue, I cannot go back in time/arm shape, to find out if what I had been doing would have been the same with or without these bands. I will say, these bands are simple to use, but will cause minor bruising if you have loose skin where the blood can pool at. "Use at your own risk". Seriously, ask your doctor if certain training styles and particular workouts are safe for you to do. Stay safe out there ladies and gents.
