Update:Bentgo contacted me and offered me a new set of lunchboxes, honestly their customer service was great, I didn't expect any response from them but they managed to solve it and also they gave some advice on cleaning:Mold can thrive in the cracks and crevices of lunchboxes, making it easy to overlook. We offer the following cleaning options and best care practices that are helpful in preventing and removing mold.Vinegar SolutionFill a clean, half-gallon spray bottle with white distilled vinegar. Screw on the lid.Spray the mold, and let soak for two to four hours.Rinse with water, and dry thoroughly.Cleaning tipsClean after each use. While it may seem simple, cleaning your child’s lunchbox regularly is essential to prevent the spread of mold and bacteria.Ensure it stays open and dry. Simply cleaning and air-drying the lunchbox isn't sufficient; mold can return quickly. Take the extra step to thoroughly dry it and keep it open and ventilated when not in use.Hand-wash instead of using the dishwasher. Dishwashers may not reach all areas, leading to the spread of bacteria and mold. It's best to hand-wash lunchboxes to ensure thorough cleaning.Original Review:I really wanted to like these boxes, they're very handy and useful but it gets moldy and it's almost impossible to remove it. This is the third and last time time I buy from bentgo, same problem with each one of them bento boxes.

I just saw that I bought these lunchboxes in August 2022, so that’s nearly 3 years ago and they’re still working perfectly. I strongly recommend handwashing these because I have never put them in the dishwasher and that might be why they’ve held up this long. I should’ve taken pictures of the outside, but the colors don’t fade and I’ve written my girls names on the outside in permanent marker and that usually lasts for a year before I have to touch it up again.Overall, these lunchboxes are great and I would highly recommend them.

I wanted to get my toddler a trendy and easy to wash lunch box for daycare. I do love the style and find it to be good quality! However, I didn't consider that in order to heat things up, you have to remove it from the lunch box first. This is better for cold snacks and lunches. When we add pasta or things that need heated up, it gets a bit complicated. Besides that, it's super cute and easy to wash and use.
