I'm an amateur painter, I took it up last year when I retired. So I don't know much about the weight and all that, but this was recommended on some YouTube tutorials. I like it. Its a good size and thickness. It seems durable, and is a good value in my opinion. I like the way my strictly amateurish paintings look on this paler, so I'm very satisfied.
