My honest HT-144 Review
I’ve been using the HT-144 for over a month now, and after testing it with 320 kbps songs, here’s my experience:Sound Quality: The sound clarity is amazing. You can hear every instrument clearly (5/5). Sometimes, it feels like I’m listening to the song for the first time, even if I’ve heard it multiple times before. I usually listen to 320 kbps music, and this system handles it perfectly. The clarity, bass, and overall experience are just superb. Whether it’s classical music or movies like Bahubali, it feels awesome! If you love paying attention to the vocals, instruments, and bass, I strongly recommend the HT-144. If it’s a bit out of your budget, save up and get it. It’s worth every penny. I have a ₹3000 system from another brand, but once I used the HT-144, I realized what good sound quality really means. The Downside: It doesn’t perform well with mobiles. I tested it with two phones (Realme GT Master Edition & Realme 13 Pro, both around ₹25,000-₹30,000) using AUX and Bluetooth, but the sound wasn’t as good, even after adjusting the equalizer. However, when I connected it to my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop (which costs over ₹1 lakh and supports DTS-X), it sounded amazing through both AUX and Bluetooth. I haven’t tried it with a TV yet, but based on the laptop experience, I expect it to be excellent.I reached out to customer support, and they explained that the system is designed to work best with laptops and TVs, not mobile phones. They also said it may work better with Samsung Galaxy or iPhones, but I haven’t tested that. One Suggestion: It would be great if the home theatre could remember the last mode I used (AUX, Bluetooth, Optical Cable, or USB). Every time I turn it on, I have to manually change the mode. It’s not a deal-breaker, but having that feature would be a nice touch.Final Thoughts: If you have a budget around ₹6000 and want a home theatre for your laptop or TV (or even a flagship phone), the HT-144 is a fantastic choice. It’s definitely worth the money, and I’m very happy with it. Obage did a great job, and I’m happy that I bought this.

[Classic-144] Good for high volume distant listeners. Not for close range.
I bought this speaker for PC but it doesn't give me enough of a feel or music effect at normal volume + close range. i had to keep the speakers a bit far and then increase the volume to really feel its effect. i think the obage Essential 5 speakers outperform this at close distances. maybe i should've gone for classic 6 (4.1) variant. it had smaller speakers and seemed similar to essential 5. i feel the bass in the subwoofer is miserable or not for close distances or maybe even my specific unit is faulty. i wanna give this speaker 3.5 rating but to be fair this could've been me picking the wrong model. i bought this model for listening to music, for that its okay. but perhaps surprisingly i could see its got good potential for music production as i feel the audio feels quite accurate. so ill give this 4 stars for now. as its good for 3.99 or 4 stars if you turn up the volume high enough. and as for areas of improvement. there's grey cloth covering the speakers instead of grills like in Obage Essential 5 or other older Model speakers maybe its hindering audio quality but by a very negligible amount however it serves a purpose for noise dampening and reducing audio fatigue. I don't think I'd ever get any fatigue from listening to music or any sound from this particular model. in future versions please provide separate bass, mid, treble control options for subwoofer and satellite speakers. I'm thinking of modding this with obage essential 5 satellite speakers later on so I'll get really good music feeling in close range as well on low volumes and get really great feel on high volumes. consider selling the satellite speakers and subwoofer separately to further specialize your brand. you already provide subwoofers and speakers that are quite modular and moddable. oh and lastly this is day 1. ill update it after a week if there's anything to add.Edit after nearly a week or so usage.this speaker can work for all situations if you can tweak volume and EQ on the speakers themselves and on your music player EQ. i find volume under 20 doesnt hurt my head or ears for prolonged music. i keep the bass under 4 and Mid and Trebble at 7. you can turn up the speaker hardware volume and turn down your app volume for further effects. but it gives you headaches after prolonged use this isnt a problem with the speaker themselves but with your usage if you turn up the volume and sit close to it. as i mentioned before this primarily functions as a long range high volume home theatre if you want to use it up close you gotta tune it. and if you do tune it well it can work! and one more big thing that improved close range listening experience is to place the satellite speakers sideways like a soundbar instead of vertically placing them. this boosted the bass experience aswell a much better over all feel. i suggest everyone to try placing them horizaontally with seperation not next to each other with tweeters on the outer end.and as for issues. i experience a heart beat sound coming from the subwoofer when nothing is playing and when the connection is AUX. maybe there's some ground loop issue going on. i also had some noise coming from the satellite speakers at idle but it was negligible and even that was most reduced with a better quality AUX i recently tried. but the subwoofer heartbeat effect does showup from time to time. though that is not that noticeable during most situations and could be AUX connection only thing. although additionally i would suggest future models using a 3 pin power adapter with ground instead of a 2 pin for completely zeroing the noise. not that there's any noticeable noise now after using a quality AUX cable. just that it could eliminate any potential idle buzzes. and lastly there's one last thing with this worth noting more than the other issues. it happens that whenever i turn On or OFF this. i get a bigish blast sound. please find a way to sort that out in the future aswell. but in over all this is a good product the audio is true. but pick the right model for your use case unless you would tweak.
