I'm an amateur, home garage project person. I've already tackled three projects of automotive soldering and such. I don't know how I managed to do so many projects in the past without this machine.

I have not used it a lot, but it worked well for the times I did use it!

The unit works well at providing consistent temperature, but the ID of the supplied nozzles were approximately 0.020" smaller than the OD of the air outlet. I had to hammer the dimples flat over a steel rod and then split them up the side with aviation snips just to get them on the air outlet.

I needed to work with fairly large polygons and I knew that a small station wouldn't cut it. At the same time I'm not in a position to shell out $$$ for Hakko. Decided to try this alphabet soup brand station, and it did surprisingly well. The digital display is clear and easy to read, allowing for accurate settings. The adjustable temperature range is quite wide, making it suitable for various types of components and solder. The automatic cooling function is a great feature that helps to prolong the life of the heating element and handle. The heat up time is fast enough. The nozzles are easy to change and the device comes with 3 sizes. In terms of build quality, the Hot Air Rework Station is solid and durable. It feels robust, and I hope it will stand up to long-term use. If not- it is not that expensive.
