This medium Conair round, 100% boar bristle styling brush is 2.25 inches by 2.25 inches. Perhaps a 2.00 inch size would be better for me, but of course that's not the fault of this well-made brush. This brush is 9.5 inches in length. The handle is designed to enable a good grip during styling. The bristles work well on my straight and somewhat thin hair. I’m pleased with the quality of this product, although I do have to search for a 100% boar hair brush that is a little smaller. With other types of brushes your hair can wrap crookedly around nylon bristles and get caught (especially with those common ball type of bristle ends), or catch on the handle-seam, and when this happens you can damage your hair follicles trying to remove the brush. This doesn’t happen with 100% boar hair bristles. In addition to gliding down smoothly, a 100% boar hair brush will distribute the oils from your scalp down the length of your hair. I’ve had no problems with static when using a boar bristle brush. Also-please note that boar bristles are obtained without harm to the animal. Boar shed their hair naturally several times a year, and are bred to provide hair for the making of boar hair brushes. Some brushes are made using both nylon and boar hair bristles, but are advertised as boar hair brushes. You have to read the description carefully if you prefer to purchase a brush made of 100% boar hair.

I had a similar brush to this one years ago ... the diameter was a little larger than this one. I have naturally curly hair and I need the larger brush to straighten it better. Regardless ... this is a well made brush and it works.

This boars hair used in this brush is firm and the handle is easy to grip. The price of this brush was fair and I expect it to last a long time.

I do not believe this is 100% Boar Bristles as advertised. I have been using 100% Boar Bristle hair brushes for almost 40 years. My hair is baby fine and yet this hairbrush has bristles that are so flimsy, you can't even brush through my hair. I have also had this same brand 100% Boar hairbrush in the past and it was the real thing. The one I received could not be 100% Boar Bristles unless it came from a new born Boar - LOL!

This brush is all boar bristles. None of the nylon with nubs bristles and for me, this is wonderful. My hair is, and always has been, naturally fine. Most of the brushes out there just don't work for me and I've invested enough $ over the years to know a great brush for me when I stumble across it. Well this one is it. The length of the bristles is perfect (my hair is just about shoulder length). The weight of the handle is great because it is light and comfortable (important for some with arthritis or ergonomic needs). This brush holds my fine hair, allows the air to penetrate and does not tangle or pull when releasing the hair. Very pleased.

The brush was smaller than I expected.And the boar's hair was not as stiff.
