Q: Is it truly a 16x power? people report cvlife's 6-24x50 scope actually has a top magnification of about 16x or 18x. overstated here, too?

You'll be lucky to find a decent X16 scope for under $200. Since I ordered that scope, I have gotten into serious extreme long range shooting, and my most recent scope for that sport cost almost $1,700.00 ON SALE from $2,600! There's a LOT more to a scope than it's magnification power. First figure out how serious you are about the purpose your optic will be put to, then figure out your budget for that purpose. My advice to you would be to save your money and buy the Primary Arms 4-16x44mm (on Amazon type: B00FGGIJMO). It, like most of the under $500 scopes, is made in China, but it is a "decent" scope. Was unable to find as well. At one point to help “reset” the scope. I adjusted screws to level to end of screw on caps. And adjusted from there

Not without a riser and it still looks like an elephant on the back... the 10× system needs that space....bug buster perfect fit for swarm
