Ayotu Stand Case for Kindle Scribe 10.2 Inch (2024/2022 Released) - Auto Sleep/Wake, Premium Sturdy Fabric Cover with Pen Holder, Only for 10.2" Kindle Scribe, Grey

I had a cover that opened from the side, and provided a slot on the side for the stylus. The plastic on that slot was thin, and half of it broke off after a pretty short time, so I tried a different style of cover. This one opens upward instead of to the side, and there is a loop at the bottom of the cover for the stylus. This works much better for me. It also feels more substantial and sturdy than my first cover. I'm very pleased so far.

This is a really nice, basic case, for the Kindle Scribe. Better than some of the other ones.It snaps in easily, but only covers the corners of the Scribe (maybe that's all that's needed). But, i imagine you may want more coverage on the sides if it gets dropped. I've heard that the Amazon Cases allow the Scribe to slip out, especially if dropped...so, this one would protect better in my opinion.The loop is nice to hold the pen (if you are concerned about it popping off of the side), and it also works well as grip to open the case, or to unfold it when in Stand-Mode.One of my complaints (minor) is that, when folded behind the Scribe, the flap slips around, and isn't held in place very well. It pops off often. I assume, because of magnets that arent super strong.When in Stand-Mode the magnets seem sufficiently strong, at least to hold it in place.All in All... this is definitley a good/cheaper alternative to the Amazon Case for the Scribe.

To say it is a standing case or a case with a stand is a bit of a stretch. It can, but it can fall easily. There is no way of "locking" it into stand mode so just the touching of turning the page can cause it slide down unless you're holding it in place. It does add more weight than I expected, but I understand why. It's because of the extra protection it provides to the corners and back of the Scribe. The biggest issue with other cases that only attach magnetically is how easily the tablet can come loose from the case. If you drop a magnetic case there is a good chance for damage unless it falls flat on the front of back of the tablet. With this case, the tablet is secure inside the case. I take my Kindle Scribe with me to work daily so protection is important. I've been using this Ayotu Stand Case for about 3 months of daily commute, home, and office use. It has held up well and my Scribe still looks brand new.

Nice case but like all the others I've tried, except for the clear case, it adds too much weight.

Update 2019April23: *** I have updated my review to 5 stars, assuming the replacement case proves durable, or is replaced when necessary.I received the replacement case a day earlier than expected, but it is again missing the logo; the seller claims that the defective cases are identified by the missing logo. I have reached out to the seller again, and they affirmed the following two assurances:1. Not all of the cases without logos are defective2. If it turns out this case is defective, they will exchange it whenever the defect is found.With these assurances in mind, I have updated my rating to 5 stars. ***Update 2019April17: **The company contacted me after submitting this review so they could resolve the problem. They claim there was a small bad batch, that a few of them are still unaccounted for, and that we must have received one of those. They asked me to check for a logo in the inside of the back cover - it was pretty obvious in the sample pictures they sent, and definitely missing from mine. They say they shipped out a free replacement, and I should receive it in five days. I will update again when I receive it. If I receive the replacement, and it holds up, this will be a five star product. **Original review 2019April16: After having the case for a month, I removed it from my Kindle for the second time ever, and all four corners cracked.I never dropped it. I didn’t leave it in the sun. I never exposed it to unreasonable heat or cold.It is ridiculous that a case that claims to be ‘shockproof’ crumbled after a month of normal use, just after the return window closed.

UPDATE 2/11/2020: My original review below was 2 STARS from the problem listed. However, I was immediately contacted by the company and they gladly sent me a replacement overnight for free. I haven't used the new case yet but for now, I will change my review back up and change later as needed. Great customer service.First of all, I will say I love almost everything about this case. It's beautiful. The graphics and quality of the actual case are very nice. This is my first kindle and I just love the way it looks and feels.However, I had to drop to a very low score because of the plastic build quality. I received this around 20 days ago. It has never left my apartment. 90% of the time I read in bed. The only way any impact could have happened is from placing it on my coffee table or taking the case off and putting it back on to clean. Already one corner has completely broken off and another one has a crack in it. I could understand if I dropped it onto the floor standing up or even a few feet but I didn't. Also, my apartment is carpeted. It just seemed to crack over time somehow. Not the end of the world but it's super sharp when I'm holding it. I see a few other posts that are the same so maybe it's just an issue with their plastic.Either way, it's disappointing because everything else is just wonderful. Hopefully, this can be resolved and I would be happy to change my rating.
