I’d prefer to not have it in the actual toilet, so I did this, which provides just the right amount of light for just the right amount of time for the middle-of-the-night trips and it stays clean(er).

This light won't illuminate enough of the bathroom to work as a nightlight if the toilet lid is shut. You can see the colors between the lid, seat, and bowl, and it looks pretty, but you won't see the floor or be able to see to wash your hands or find the TP. But if you are like so many households that leave the toilet lid or seat up all the time, then this will work as a nightlight. I don't like my toilet open for things to fall into, so this light doesn't really work well for me, but the colors are pretty, so maybe I'll mount it somewhere else.

Didn’t know I need these until I saw them! So neat! Works great!! And I don’t have to turn the light on at night to go to the bathroom and it wake me up. The device is bright and vibrant and the motion detection works well. Super easy to install. You just put it on the rim and it does the rest. It’s small in size and doesn’t weigh much. It’s a great little device!

The light was perfect for the few months that it worked.
