Neewer has continually put out nice camera equipment and this another great product from them. If you ever use your phone as a camera this is a must have. The locking mechanism is one of the best you will find and holds a wide variety of phones. The frame is nice and rigid making a really strong holding point to get a stable picture. The sling it comes with is comfortable to wear, but you can remove it and attach your own if you prefer. It has multiple cold shoe mounts so you can add lights, microphone, or whatever you require in your setup. I have used mine for months now and it quickly became my go to. I absolutely love this rig and use it pretty much daily; everyone needs one in their arsenal.

I love taking pictures and video - especially when traveling. Phone cameras are so advanced these days and they've become the main camera to use. Even with image stabilization on these cameras nowadays, I found that holding onto the phone with my hand didn't always produce the most stable media. I wanted to try this phone cage and let me tell you it makes a huge difference. Being able to hold the phone easily with just one or two hands using the grips make it so stable. You will really appreciate it with video. I was able to put my Galaxy S23Ultra in this with a case on without issue - the grip held in in fine. The cage itself is made of a sturdy plastic type material which makes it pretty light on its own. It comes with a neck strap that you can attach so when you are not using it, it can hang from your neck, just like a typicaly camera! The cage also has other sockets to attach other accessories to it if you want.Where the phone is held in the cage is going to be toward the bottom and center, and you'll have to be sure that your phone buttons aren't being pressed. There isn't much adjustment that can be made here but I was easily able to find the best stop for it to be held - and it's designed in a way to give you room and not inadvertently press buttons.I think I do like it that it's all plastic because metal would weigh it down, but I think the grips would have bit more texture to it to feel good in the hand. Also, if you have a phone with a superthick case, the grip might not have a good grip on the phone but the grip seems like it should be accommodating to most cases. It will grip the phone - it's not like one of the grips that fold over and will only fit if your phone fits. Not a big deal - like I said, it fit my phone with a medium size case fine, and it had room to accommodate more.

Nice, wide strap, but I ended up buying a real gimbal for shooting videos.

The NEEWER Smartphone video rig with neck strap is a cool rig if you are trying to shoot footage, but don’t have a way to have other attachments stabilized on your iPhone. The rig holds my iPhone 14 Pro Max securely and the grip handles on the video rig is comfortable. It is pretty light, which helps too. It has 3 cold shoe mounts, so you can mount lighting, microphones, etc. The bottom also can be screwed onto a tripod if you plan to shoot that way. Overall, for the price, it seems to be okay. It may not be the best solution everyday filming solution, but it is a nice option to have.

This is a very lightweight solution. That combined with the neck strap, and I can shoot for much longer than I'd be able to with any other rig.The wider grip and 3rd point of contact makes it ideal for shooting at night when the camera struggles to keep a steady shot.It has 1/4-20 threads all over so I can shoot it in landscape or portrait, and add more attachments than I could even think of a use for.Overall a great rig.Highly recommended.

This is a good entry level phone cage/rig. It is made of thick plastic, so it is durable and feels good in your hands. It comes with a neck strap to help steady your shot as you pan and tilt. The strap is optional and is attached by using the 1/4 screw holes to secure the strap brackets. Once secured on the cage, snap the strap buckles on the brackets and you're all set.My iphone 13 pro max fit into the phone mount with ease and secured down tightly. It has both a spring/hold function and a thumbscrew to ensure the bracket stays securely tightened around your phone. It has 3 cold shoe mounts on top for flexibility in adding lights, mics, etc. And, the 1/4 screw hole on the bottom makes it very versatile to mount to a tripod.At the time of this review, it was priced at $22.50 if you applied the 10% coupon, so for that, it's a great investment.
