I'm using this in an unconventional way. I wear hearing aids and when I have to change the filter I have to remove the dome that goes into my ear (it's connected to the receiver and the filter is under the dome).Should be easy to do unless you have a permanent hand injury that doesn't allow you to get a good grip on small items like the hearing aid receiver.I've tried using regular needle nose pliers to hold the receiver but I couldn't find any that were small enough and I was always concerned that I'd squeeze too hard and crush the receiver (not good!).These work very well. They are small enough to grasp the receiver while I pry the dome off using my good hand. They are also easy to control the pressure that I put on the ends.Nicely made and certainly made life just a tiny bit easier for this old guy.

LOL! I bought this because I had to go to Emergency at the hospital (after I dug out the berm that was across my driveway from the snow the night before) on a Sunday because when I was putting in my hearing aids, the dome came off of one and I couldn't get it out of my ear. Well, I asked the ER what the name of the tool was that they used to get it out and they told me and you bet I bought one. Now I won't have to go to ER for this again. (I hope)
